Ok, this is a disaster. Seems like a very important commit by
Christoph Cullmann was not backported to the 4.5 branch, namely:

I've backported the commit now into the 4.5 branch, which hopefully
means it will be part of the next minor release, right?

Anyway it means that kdevelop master doesn't work with plain KDE 4.5. :-(
