Next Beta release

Hi,

there have been some drastic changes since beta7, so I'd like to get out
another beta before the sprint. What do you guys think about this
timeline:

Feb. 5th - Freeze for feature commits, only bugfixes
Feb. 9th - Tag and Tarball Beta8 (along with a deep-freeze period during
that day)
Feb. 12th - Release Beta8
