Question about threading

Thanks for your help, nearly everything works now. Finding the files still
blocks the UI, but it does not take that long (tested on the kernel
sources).

I am still a little confused, because IStatus::showProgress does not show up
a progress bar, neither does showMessage show anything... If someone could
help me out on that, I would be very happy, because it's the last bug that
exists (I hope).
