Yes, this assert happens with an up to date checkout. Are you positive that 
that particular project does not assert out? Does it not crash for anyone 
else?

It seems that 905242 is the cuplrit ... judging from the commit description & 
a quick local revert. At 905241 that kde4_single_case project loads like a 
charm, at 905242 it crashes.
