Is there a way to run kdevelop in-place?

Hi,

I'd like to know wether it's possible to run kdevelop from inside the
build directory, instead of always doing a make install. And I also
mean: Without symlinking the hundreds of files kdevelop consists of from
the install to the build dir?

Or at least prevent make install from recursing into subdirectories?
