 It would be good to stick to only one mode after all and to maintain it. Now I am told that IDEAL simpl. is the "standard" so I switch from IDEAL to simplified, but again that was not "standard" before... 

Well, time changes things. IDEAl is still there, you can use it if you want, however there are bugs that we can't fix. Simple IDEAl has none of those bugs, however it does have a couple of features missing in comparison to KMDI-IDEAl.

Luckily Repositioning of toolviews between the 3 docking areas will soon become reality, the patch for that exists already it just need to be reviewed. If thats what your after: It'll hopefully make it into rc2 to be tagged this friday at the latest.
