KDevelop 3.4 branch won't configure

Hi,
when running

   make -f Makefile.cvs

in a frech checkout of:

   /branches/work/kdevelop3

I get this:

libkdevcatalog_la_LDFLAGS: variable `DB3LDFLAGS' is used but `DB3LDFLAGS' is 
undefined

and make exists with an error. The problem is not present in Kdevelop 3.3 (KDE 
3.5) branch.
I'm using automake 1.7.9

Any ideas how this can be fixed?
