I don't think so, as the only user would be yzis atm and keeping BC for such a 
fast improving system is problematic and being in kdelibs means not breaking 
BC for whole KDE 4.x release cycle. (Yes, it could be a outside kdelibs lib, 
but than, we would need to remove all KDE pieces for not much to get back)
