Actually, I built all the GNU tools from tarballs on SuSE 9.0. They haven't
sent my 9.1 yet :-(

Yes I did.
make -f admin/Makefile.common cvs-clean && make -f Makefile.cvs
I'm going to try it with the stock SuSE stuff. I believe it's all still in
