Nothing special shows in the icon border unless I click it with the mouse.

Well, I can't type in Scythian, only a bit of Viking, and English, but I do
see it change. I guess part of the reason I never noticed is because that
window tends to get buried in a hurry. I'm not sure if it is doing any
context checking against my types, etc. or just checking structure. Along the
lines of Emacs font-lock-mode.
The status and behavior of things hasn't been consistent enough to really
evaluate the the functionality of the related feature of code completion. I
have the sense that is not yet very context sensitive.
I just realized there is one variable I haven't considered when trying to
assess code completion. The presence or absence moc files could have a big
impact on how such features function.
I'll keep playing with it and see what I figure out.
