Unmaintained: CustomProjectPart

Hello,

when I was thinking about extending KDevelop to have a custom project
manager, I found this on the kdevelop homepage:

Looks like someone tried it before me, but is not maintaining this
project anymore. So I wonder whether anyone else has already started
to work with this approach or whether it is still unmaintained.
If so, I'd love to continue Bernd Gehrmann's work. He said that
the plugin has been made more flexible since he wrote it, and
maybe the status of the documentation (classCustomProjectPart.html)
might not be up-to-date at the moment, so he told me to ask here
for more recent information on the whole thing.
