I have same symptoms here with KDE 3.2-rc1 and I even tried 20042201 snapshots (kdelibs, kdebase, kdevelop). I tried that fix on comment #16, but it didn't help.

I can preproduce this always:
1. start kdevelop
2. open project
3. again, open project
4. -> crash!

And it crash when closing app too:
1. start kdevelop
2. open project
3. quit kdevelop
4. -> crash!

backtrace on this was:
