Summary: gdb not installed: no warning at debug->start
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.0.0b2
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Solaris
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-devel at kdevelop.org
        ReportedBy: daniel.franke at imbs.uni-luebeck.de

Version: 3.0.0b2 (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2
OS: SunOS (sun4u) release 5.8

Project Options -> Debugger -> Path to gdb: "/anywhere/bin/"

In GDB-tab, it seems that "/anywhere/bin/gdb" was (sucessfully) started. No error is displayed when entering any gdb command, just "silence".

If no gdb executable was found, don't open the debugger-tab and notify the user about the missing binary. Preferable the notice should include the path where the exectable NOT is and where to change the setting.

Thanks :)
