Publishing & distributing only binaries and headers - how to ?

I have played a little with the Publishing & Distribution manager and I 
have realized that only the source / distribution tarball can be made. 
And only on the (Default) build configuration (I have added the comment 
with this notice also to the Bug #60234  
(http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=60234))

I would really like to make tarball of the project result - that is 
binaries, headers and other data which are declared to be installed by 
the distribution. No sources etc. Am I missing something or is this 
really impossible ?
