Also tried gaol-0.1.2 from http://sourceforge.net/projects/gaol/
and it reproduces the problem. So it is not a peculiarity of GluCat.

If you deselect "Load last project on startup", the problem appears every odd 
time that you "open recent project". In other words:
1. Import works. Quit KDevelop.
2. Open KDevelop. Open recent project -> runs out of memory. 
CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE.
3. Open KDevelop. Open recent project -> works.
