Yes, it works perfectly. I added this functionality yesterday.
look for example into languages/cpp/app_templates/kfileplugin/kfileplugin
there is a ShowFilesAfterGeneration=file1,file2. And it works really nice.

I think it's a good idea to display a README.devel or sth. like this.
Now we only need the text that should be displayed! :)
