Summary: How about a create file command in either the file tree
or file selector (or preferably a future combined
                    version of the two)
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: 3.0.0b1
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-devel at kdevelop.org
        ReportedBy: bigbob at shideleff.com

Version: 3.0.0b1 (using KDE 3.1.4)
Installed from: Gentoo
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r2, propolice)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-ac4

(This already seems to exist in the automake build environment, but doesn't for us poor saps who maintain our own makefiles, or as in my case autogenerate them from the files existance in a directory.)

It would be awfully nice if the file selector, and or the file tree windows supported creating files in the selected directory. I'm thinking of something like a right click down menu that gives you access to all of the options in the 'New File' IDEA1 window, but with the paths all set up for the current directory you are clicking on.
