the decision was to make it look like kde.org and that background-textures are 
sort of "old-fashioned", so we removed them with the redesign.

There's also a "non-public" theme2 
(http://www.kdevelop.org/index.html?filename=main.html&design=theme2) which 
is for experimenting, so we can try out new designs without bothering our 
surfers.
