Hi,
Recently I see that Gideon uses a lot of CPU time when I compile the
project. The CPU is used about 50% by Gideon and 50% by the compiler/linker.
The first effect of this extreme CPU usage is that the interface becomes hard
to manipulate (eg. scrolling up the Message output is almost impossible,
stopping the compilation takes several seconds, switching to another app is
slow and so ) and the second is that the compilation is much slower. I
suspect that the new outputview code has some problems, as I never saw such a
slowdown until a recent cvs update. I don't think Alpha 4 should be released
in the current form.
