Summary: Background colors for window and text in KDevelop
Product: kdevelop
Version: unspecified
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kdevelop-devel at kdevelop.org

Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Hello,
here's what I think would be an improvement to KDevelop: Currently, in Options->EditorColors you have to set
1.) the background color for the window itself
2.) the background color for the text
I would like the background color for the text to automatically have the same color as the background of the window, effectively making the text's background color transparent. I think it makes no sense to split it up into two separate options, as the text background usually needs to be of the same color as the window background, otherwise it looks, well, awful.
Furthermore, I would really appreciate it if there were an option to automatically adopt the background color from the settings in KControlCenter, so that I do not have to adjust the background color in KDevelop each time I switch to different color settings.
Best regards,
Matthias Hofmann
