Which QT-Version will distributions of KDE 3.1 prefer?

Hi,
currently, while creating new projects with gideon, gideon creates autoconf 
files that will search for a QT with version > 3.1.X

Since i just saw, that QT-Copy in KDE's CVS said to be Version 3.0.4, i was 
pondering:

Does KDE 3.1 rely on QT 3.1? If not - and if next distributions will contain 
KDE 3.1 in combination with QT 3.0.X - this would render gideon's generated 
autoconf/automake files unuseable.

What is the state of these relations?
