Missing tab texts in IDEAL mode

let's try to track it down... Do you have a lot of files open? I once 
experienced redrawing problems when the tab-widget wasn't wide enough to 
display all filenames.

Which styles are you using? Does it work when using another style (Qt Motif)?

Can anyone be so nice to check gideon with valgrind and see whether there are 
errors when the tabbuttons disappear?
