I was planning on tagging another Gideon release this weekend (Beta 1) and
then starting some changes to the code. However, George Staikos has recently
put in some patches to our code to make us more Xinerama/Multihead aware, but
unfortunately they are only available in KDE HEAD. So, it's probably going
to take a few days of work on kdevelop cvs source in order to add some (#if
KDE_VERSION > __) before we're ready.
Now the bad news: Unless someone can give me a really really really really
compelling reason not to, I plan on only starting to support KDE 3.1 for
Gideon. Anyone wanting to continue using Gideon as is should stick with the
Alpha 3 version. I had planned on this latest tag being >3.0.3, but in light
of recentl cvs commits I think that it's probably easier to go forward than
backward. The moral here: upgrade to KDE 3.1! :) Now that we have 3.0, 3.1,
and head to worry about, and since we're not synced up with KDE releases, I
think this is about the only want this is going to be manageable. Hopefully
by 3.2 we'll be synced again with the KDE tags.
Does anyone have any major issues with this?
Caleb
