Questions about Makefile

Hi,
I have the following problem:
In a KDevelop (2.x) project I have a main KDE application and a subdir 
containing a shared library. But, the shared library (which is in fact a 
konqueror plugins that has to work with the application) must be installed in 
a separated dir than the application. Actually, the shared library is copied 
in the same dir. What is the makefile magic to make this working?
