Yes. By the way the c++ kde template "simple application framework" works fine,
and it uses libtool.

concerning my libtool installation, I have the following redhat rpms :
libtool-1.4.3-5
libtool-libs13-1.3.5-7
libtool-libs-1.4.3-5
