Interesting - please provide the patch so I, and others, can check it out.

I have not understood how the current system is meant to be used.
* Modify Makefile.am?

I have a patch that gives embedded debugging, see
"[PATCH][EXAMPLE] gdbserver embedded debugging in kdevelop"
(why have there been no comments on this? Is it perfect?
