Compiler:          gcc version 2.96 20000731 Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110
OS:          Linux

I create a C++ project with the Wizard:
1) Project->New
2) Terminal/C++, Next
3) Project Name: Dz, Author Name: John Doe, Email: dz at example.com, Next
4) VCS->None, Next
5) Next, Next, Create, Exit
6) Debug->Start
7) kdevelop-2.1 CPU usage goes to 100% (1/2 user, 1/2 system) and nothing is happening...

This is a stock RedHat7.3, I saw the same problem on two machines.
