Code completion in imported projects

Hi,

I'm using Kdevelop 2.1.3 on KDE 3.0.3 (mandrake 9.0) and when I create 
Kdevelop projects from scratch, CodeCompleteion works beautifully.

However if I import a project into Kdevelop (by doing "create project 
file") for some reason Code completion doesn't work anymore. Now I can't 
compile this locally, so I'm just using Kdevelop as a code 
browser/editor, so perhaps that's why.

At what stage does code-completion parse the files?  Is this expected 
behaviour?
