if you have an existing .pro project, you can easily open it in Gideon 
(KDevelop 3.0).
1) Download the latest Gideon and install it
2) Start it and choose Project->Import Existing Directory
3) Select your project directory
4) Justify the settings of your project (e.g. project type, but should 
be done automatically)
5) Gideon should open your project and with the QMake Manager at the 
right border you can manage your .pro file
