i just created the following links
 kde2book/dtd -> /opt/kde3/share/apps/ksgmltools2/customization/dtd
 kdearch/dtd -> /opt/kde3/share/apps/ksgmltools2/customization/dtd

and now gideon compiles on my suse 8.0 ;-)
