Kuba, your patch isn't working well on a SuSE-8.0 default installation. 
I've got qt-3.0.3 and kde-3.0.0 there.
As I applied your patch to the coutputwidget.* files tagged with 
KDEVELOP_2_1_RELEASE, coloured output didn't work any more. :-(

So I reject that patch. ;-P

Roland, does the current cvs work for you on qt-3.0.4 and your kde?
