yes, you should merge it back to KDEVELOP_2_BRANCH (if your schedule 
indicates "merging activity"), but you haven't to diff the versions of 
the template-tarballs of KDEVELOP_2_BRANCH and KDE_2_2_BRANCH, i.e. 
untar-diff-check'n'merge-tar-commit ;-).
That's what I already did for you...
