Package: kdevelop
Version: inconnu (using KDE 2.2.1 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 19991030 (prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.12
OS/Compiler notes:

It would be utterly useful to have a popping auto-complement box activated in a context-senstive way, so that when you type (eg.)

myobject.

you are prompted with a drop-down list (same as Konqueror's URL autocomplement) displayed just after the period featuring all methods and properties relevant for this object.

And when you open a parenthesis after a function name, a similar pop-up can remind you -while you are typing- the arguments types expected by the function.

Kylix/Delphi has this tools since the very beginning and it is INCREDIBLY usefull, for you don't have anymore to browse your class tree to find out what properties/method are accessible !

... something even better would be to have this option implemented in an easily extensible way, so that it could apply to other languages as well.
Dreams, dreams, dreams :-)
