Summary: Kdev setup for the doc indexer seems to go on forever...
           Product: kdevelop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: RedHat RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kdevelop-devel at barney.cs.uni-potsdam.de
        ReportedBy: rac_sword2 at hotmail.com

Version: Kdev 2.2.1 I think...err the one with Red Hat 8.0 (using KDE KDE 1.2)
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: Red Hat 8.0 didnt touch the source I just used the installation that came with the OS
OS: Linux

when I use the setup for the doc indexer it finds the files but even though I chosed it with tiny size it takes a long time to do it...I did it about 48 hours ago and it's still doing it. Dont know if it's in a loop or what cuz I cant even look at it since it's using all the cpu time and it wont even show anything. I tried it several times before but ended up frustrated and then reseting the pc. This time I just left it doing it and checked once every morning for two days. It keeps going...or it seems to since it wont let almost any cpu time for the GUI. I'm going to let it run nonetheless for another day see what happens. I'm running it in an old PII 452mghz with 256megs of mem. I'm running Red Hat 8 Desktop. I just had a thought...what happens if it runs out of space while making the index?? Will that do it?

Thanks in advance.
