Subject: gdb crashes sometimes when displaying "this" on variable view
From: heithecker at ida.ing.tu-bs.de

Package: kdevelop
Version: 2.0.2 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: 2.95.3 20010315
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Sometimes (I am afraid I cannot be more specific), the underlying gdb crashes when I select "this" on the variable view during debug sessions. This happens also with kdebug (here I get the message "gdb terminated unexpected"). This happens not if I use gdb directly using the console. I am afraid I cannot give more details, because this happens randomly. The only I can say is that the executable has a size of approx. 9MB, consists of more than a dozen of source files and makes extensive usage of execptions (I am using the SystemC class library which implements pseudo-parallel tasks and context switching by using exceptions). If I get more information, I'll report.
