well, you're going to have to help me out a little here. 

even this fails, explicit as it is: 
[/home/paul/src/kdevelop]:: ./configure --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt-3.0.0 
--with-qt-includes=/usr/lib/qt-3.0.0/include 
--with-qt-libraries=/usr/lib/qt-3.0.0/lib --enable-debug=full

what am I missing?
