As a matter of fact, the build system opts separate compilation. Had to 
change it. It was something that built a few days back, so I think it should 
have been a deliberate change but I couldn't find exactly what has changed, 
it certainly isn't in lib/interfaces/kdevelop. I think I got lost here. Does 
the build system depend on anything except kdevelop sources? Perhaps the 
recent debian upgrade which broke some of my own sources was effective here. 
:}

Well, if I can build this beast I will see if I have caught the null pointer.

BTW, this is a really great program. I hope to contribute new stuff in the 
future.
