bugs.kde.org is not a support channel. This type of question is more
appropriately asked on the kdevelop mailing list (see
http:/www.kdevelop.org). For starters read these threads:

http://lists.kde.org/?l=kdevelop&w=2&r=1&s=static+linking&q=b

later,
John

has caused the attached bug report to be marked as done.

This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with.
If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

(NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what I'm
talking about this indicates a serious mail system misconfiguration
somewhere. Please contact me immediately.)

Bug Description ---------------------------

I dunno how to set my application to be statically linked to QT, I have searched
and tried all the options in KDE/IDE and nothing works..I have installed the
static libraries (libqt.a, libqxt.a, libqutil.a, libqt-mt.a) into the /usr/local/qt/lib
folder...still I get the error saying
"No rule to make ../libqt.a" or some similar sort...
I just can't understand how to link my application statically...the problem is
highly critical... one can safely assume that I've just one more day's time
to end this problem....thanx in anticipationq

How to repeat the error -------------------

Just compile
