It does seem a little odd to rearrange the interface when loading a
project...but...it could have it's uses.
How about, we rearrange the interface on program loadup (like every other
product in the world does) but then also conditionally do it for each
project. What's the damn point you ask? On loadup is a given, it has to be
done. On project loading can be useful. e.g. I am working on a project that
requires SGML work and CVS, so I want to have shortcuts to that stuff on my
toolbar. But, I also work on stuff that doesn't require either, and I'd
rather have a cleaner toolbar, or space for other toolbars that I am using.
Of course, having the screen flash sucks ass, so why not put in some code to
bypass the screen update if you are loading a project, until after that
project has loaded?
