Package: kdevelop
Version: 2.0.2 (using KDE 2.2.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.4-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:

I can't get a backtrace as the window that pops up that is supposed to be showing one never gets beyond the "loading symbols" stage.

I've tried this several times. I pick a different subdirectory (~/src/project instead of ~/project), I use a different vcs (:pserver:kenw at infobox.ihs.com:/opt/cvs), and I change the header template files.

Hmmm, after further testing it appears as if someone's turned off CVS access. So if I specify a non-existant CVS method Kdevelop dies.
