Bug#30676: Status bar not displayed correctly in Window managers other than KDE.

When I use KDE as my window manager, the status bar iin Kdevelop displays correctly.  However, if I switch to Windowmaker, or Blackbox (possibly others),  the status bar in Kdevelop is black, and not informational text is readable.  Thus the user is unable to read the line number at which the cursor is at, or any other information displayed there.
