Hehe :) I tell you what: you know what we did with KDevelop 0.x ? Install it,
run it, program kdevelop in it. If it crashes, fine, look where and fix it.
The old story of eat your own shit. That's how we got it stable :) He, I
even wrote all the docs in it just to see how it does long-term - and boy, I
was sick of that segfault in kwrite that hit me once in a while. That was the
reason I implemented the autosave stuff. Also the autochange thing. You will
only know what's missing if you use it. As far as I know, it's working great
without too many segfaults during daily work, so I suggest to use it for as
many purposes as you can. I will certainly do that to see where the rough
edges are, but we can keep the naming for now so you guys get on the track a
bit smoother :) As suggested I think we can rename it when the switch to Qt
3 on HEAD is scheduled, i.e. within the next 3 weeks, see Dirk Müller's mail
on kde-core-devel. Renaming kdevelop 2's binary isn't that much of a deal, so
for the good of gideon, I suggest we rename both by then so those who'll want
to use kdevelop 2 to look at features and stuff are saved.

We're not a company, we just produce better code at less costs.
