Ups, we had a nice discussion right at the moment :-)

We didn't come to a resolution of the different views. One of the reasons was 
that it is hard to talk about code that is not in CVS, so we agreed that I 
will commit my proposal into kdevelop CVS, without making it active. Then I 
will work (hopefully with the help of Simon/Cornelius) on making the example 
code fully working.

We will then meet again to see if the proposal makes sense.

Please keep in mind that the code I will commit is 2 days old, so it is not 
more than a first draft, and a lot of additional interfaces will have to be 
created soon. But it is so much easier to do this in CVS than by talking in 
mails or IRC :-)
