That´s a solution... not the right one, but a working one...
but you should now download the new kdesgmltool-0.5-20000303.tar.gz
which can be found on the ftp-mirrors (directory: kdk_updates)

this version should handle the problem and is working with *.png images
instead of *.gif...
because kdevelop 1.1 works also with *.png files...
