Bug Description ---------------------------

The splash screen doesn't disappear at startup.
I leave kdevelop open when I log out and it starts up automatically
when I log in. However the splash screen keeps showing on all 4
desktops which is kind of annoying.
The "Tip of the day" does not appear.

How to repeat the error -------------------

Bugfix or Workaround ----------------------

Probably disabeling the splash screen will help, but I didn't try that
yet.
