Bug#2410: Problem with "Remove from disk"

I do not agree with this report.
Due to the source code management tool which we use at work I often found
that I need to delete a file
but want to keep a buffer with the content of the same file so I can either
save it again in the same place
or save it under another name.
A typical case when that would happen is if some modification where done in
the file but not checked in
the SCM I need to be able to keep the modif which I just did and refresh the
directory all the same.

Anyway I found it to be the correct behavior.

Severity: normal

Bugreport ID : 00:35,12.12.99

Subject : Problem with "Remove from disk"

Error Class : software bug
Error Location : logical file tree
Priority : low
Bug Description ---------------------------

If a file is deleted from disk using the LFV while it is open,
KDevelop outputs the rather helpful message "File does not exist!".
The window with the file, however remains open. It would be
better if KDevelop would refrain from stating the obvious here and
close any windows containing files to be deleted.

How to repeat the error -------------------

Bugfix or Workaround ----------------------

KDE version : 1.1.2
