Package: kdevelop
Version: 1.0beta1
Severity: grave

Bugreport ID : 15:04,07.08.99

Originator	: Ian Zepp

Subject : Swap space and Dialog Editor

Error Class	: software bug
Error Location: dialog editor
Priority	: medium
Bug Description ---------------------------

System info:

p133 MMX
32 MB ram
64 MB swap

avg kdevelop mem size: 25%

When I use the dialog editor for an extended period
of time, I get a higher and higher amount of swap space
used by kdevelop. This usually happens when I am first
designing dialog, and adding/deleting various widgets.

It seems to me that even after I remove a widget from the
current dialog, the memory it uses is not being freed. After
15 minutes or so of heavy use, the entire system slows
down due to heavy swap file use.

How to repeat the error -------------------

Use the dialog editor with a lot of additions/deletion, changing
widget properties, switching between dialogs.

Bugfix or Workaround ----------------------
