Where are local mails?

It would be helpful if you would have told us which version of KMail you are
using. In an older version (> 2 years; probably much longer) there was a bug
which caused KMail to move only one of the selected messages to the local
folder. The workaround back then was to copy the messages and then delete them
in the original folder.
It takes some time until the files/messages appear in the file system after a
move. The move seemingly happens very fast, but that's just the update of the
location in the database. The files are written to the file system when a sync
happens. I haven't moved larger amounts of mails to a local folder so that's
just what I remember. If the messages still don't appear after some time then
there may be a new bug.
