Kontact / Kmail and "new mail from template" failing since a few days...

Hi there, 

are there any known problems or is anybody else experiencing the same 
behaviour? 

On three systems with openSUSE Tumbleweed and Plasma6, Kontact 6.4.0(25.04.0) 
the function "new mail from template (a pop-up-menu either in the menu or with 
a separate toolbar icon) does not work anymore. 

Expected behaviour: Display all mails in the folder defined as "templates" in 
Identities
Actual behaviour: No reaction, no mails to select from are displayed. 

I have been trying to start kmail/kontact from command line and with strace to 
get a grip on potential error messages, but none show up - that I recognize as 
such. And akonadiconsole does not show anything suspicious either for me. I 
will now try with a completely new account to make sure there's no old config 
mismatch hanging around. Is it possible that the unified inbox is the culprit? 
I will also try without that. 

Any help appreciated, I'm also doing my homework and will be looking into bugs 
already reported... didnt find one so far...
