Importing large mbox file

Thank you Anders! I downloaded a copy of the emails using Folder > Archive 
folder, as you wrote.

Then, I imported them in my "Local folders" simply moving "Gmail" and 
".Gmail.directory" folders into my ~/.local/share/local-mail/ directory.
I used this way because I was unsure about what the command Import does.

All the emails are readable.
